| Our client is looking to recruit a Technical Specialist to plan and design IT/IS systems deployed in EMEA. Introduce new technology as appropriate and provide internal consultancy expert technical advice to the IT function.
Superb knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange is hugely advantageous as well as the experience of designing and planning IT systems. Experience of Implementing solutions and experience of the Hospitality trade are also highly desirable. Key Activities include. Planning, design and integration of IT systems and applications. Develop and maintain IT and Infrastructure standards, (hotels and core systems). Support project teams as the technical expert in the design of solutions. Centre of excellence, providing technical leadership and guidance to the rest of the IT function. Provide technical support to other functions in GT, EMEA. To work with the other functions to evaluate the impact of new applications and technologies.
Strong analytical/problem solving skills are essential. The ability to work under pressure, be self-motivated and innovative in identifying new approaches and solutions. Strong time management and project planning skills. Exposure to the following would also be beneficial - Microsoft, hp, Cisco, BT, Verizon, Equant, Micros, SCC.
